  • The Search for WMDs Continue in Unlikely Places

I swear, I am NOT hiding them up my…. oh boy.

This is actually a sweet story.  The cat, also named Colin Powell, won some sort of “best cat in the country” contest.  Colin’s owner likes to name their black cats after prominent African-Americans.  Colin’s parents were named after Issac Hayes and Jamaica Kincaid.

  • but what if the weaknesses you didn’t feel were weaknesses are judgments of less than satisfactory evaluations of material possessions?  isn’t that only a matter of opinion better left unspoken?  the posting was of a much more juvenile nature than i’m sure you saw it as being.  can i steal your kitty pic again?  kikiki….just kidding.  enough catnapping…thanks for your thoughts!

  • Criticism is either deserved or undeserved.

If deserved, then you should welcome it in order to evolve.

If undeserved, well, then who cares right?

The most critical people in the world are also the most insecure.  People give undeserved criticisms when they feel threatened by the object of their critique.  In other words, there is something about you that makes him feel inferrior, and his criticism is his defense mechanism.

That doesn’t make his actions justifiable, but I hope you would feel less hurt and more pity for the guy.

  • and that’s EXACTLY my pt, val wiggin. hence, the final assertion that my being in a comfortable and secure position is only scary for those who consider my place a threatening measure against theirs. hurt…yeah, sometimes…but i guess it’s more my way of saying “pretty f*cking annoyed” by such adolescent behavior, especially towards those whom one claims to care for.

  • I miss your reflective entries.

    No pressure or anything.

  • i like the entry about scars.  really really liked it.  props to you. <3 sara

  • hi there! i have yeazell and he’s awesome!! my fave prof so far… tho the subject itself is not as interesting. are you a 3L?

  • Yes, apparently I don’t know me, and apparently we all miss you.

  • You survived law school.  You must tell me how.

Ran into your blog by accident by following random blogs.  Just thought it was interesting that you’re an attorney.  Cheers!

  • Hi Val!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!  Liz :)

  • Liz – My class used Yeazell’s book but I never met him. I graduated from UCLAW in 2002 but the nightmare of law school is still fresh in my mind. =)

Angel – I miss posting here, but I’ve picked up poker which takes up all my free time when I’m not working as an “evil big firm lawyer.” New Years Resolution: Less evil, more blogging.

Liquy – I read your November post, I hope the outlines turned out ok.The key to surviving law school is the knowledge that your life is even more miserable as an attorney. You have been warned *evil grin*.

Egurl – It’s been a long time, but your blog still makes me hungry…

Happy holidays to all, may your life be filled with the joy of giving.

  • Colin Powellz pussy looks scared

  • What a tease. I thought you were back, then one click and I’m disappointed. Let go is amazing. I hope you’ve seen Garden State and heard the rest of the soundtrack! What kind of music do you like? Music is my passion…

  • I say you should update :)

  • How is the important occupation of fighting for justice in our country coming along?
