  • This is what life looks like to me.  A tranquil womb embraced by flowing curves gently weaving the finger print of god with light and shadows.

  • Hmm, sounds like you're pretty close to getting the riddle. If you want to elaborate by leaving a comment here on your own entry (where you're unlikely to ruin it for others) I'll let you know if you're right.

  • On an unrelated note, can you direct me to Luthien's page?

  • Thanks for checking up. I like people who follow up on their own riddles. The prisoners can develop a code, where white = "odd number of white hats" and black = "even number of white hats."

If the last prisoner (first to answer) sees 25 white hats, he would say "white" for his own guess, indicating odd number of white hats.

If the second-to-last prisoner counts odd number of white hats, then he knows his hat is black. If he counts even number of white hats before him, then he knows his hat is white.... so on and so forth. But this all depends on the last prisoner following the code.

    Here's my friend Luthien:

  • Nice work dude, how long did it take you to figure it out?

  • Oh yeah, I checked out "Luthien." Gotta say, I don't believe it...she sounds too good to be true. I think she's some sort of horrible (and hot) temptress amalgam of all the stuff guys are supposed to like in girls crafted for someone's amusement. :)

  • I'm terrible at logic games, so it took me a while to figure it out.  I was watching Lost in Translation on my laptop and reading your blog at the same time.  It took me the entire length of the movie to figure out the puzzle (and then I had to rewatch the movie because all I was thinking about was the puzzle!).

Oh, this Luthien is a real person.  I guess.
